Hawthorn Fish Soup
Lower cholesterol, lower blood lipids and lower blood pressure. .
60gm Hawthorn (shan zha) 山楂干
30gm Eucommia Cortex (du jung) 杜仲
1 : Lo-han fruit 羅漢果
1: Whole fish
2 slices Ginger
1. Rinse herbs and put all in a pot with 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil, and lower heat to simmer to 2 cups of water left. Strain and keep tea aside.
2. Wash fish and tower dry. Pan-fry fish with a spoon of oil and ginger and brown slightly on both sides.
3. Add herbal tea to the pan and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
4. Add seasoning (salt, pepper, cooking wine and sesame oil) to taste and serve.
